One of the things I love doing is sharing stories with my colleagues about our respective families - yesterday I’ve shared some about my mom today I’m sharing more. In these photos there’s dad in his official military outfit - then mom and dad dating in 1968 in Tunis. There’s also one photo of my father when he was at school and my mom’s Tunisian transit card when she was at college. My father taught me his #passion for #work. Le Capitaine Mohammed Lahmadi was born on May 10th, 1920 in Tunisia Moknine. He passed away in September 2012 at the age of 92. He had me when he was 65. He had the legion of honor as a hero and role during World War II for his achievements and the Jewish lives he saved. He gave horse riding lessons in the USA to officials. His friend in France was Simone Veil. He went back to Tunisia called by Habib Bourguiba, then President. He wrote the proposal of La décentralisation and gave it to the Republic. It was a project aiming to help reduce: « Le regionalism », which is the concentration of all the bureaucratic matters of the country in one city/the Capital Tunis and instead of that making all cities have their own organized system. That way, all cities can be equal and less marginalized or dependant on the capital. He was a #poet too - RIP Dad.
