In Gaza, sustained pressure on public hospitals continues to affect patients’ access to essential surgical care, particularly for those with non-urgent but increasingly debilitating conditions. Extended waiting times and limited capacity often intensify patients’ health challenges and impact their daily functioning. This video presents testimonies from beneficiaries of the project "Provide Surgery for Vulnerable Patients on the Waiting List of the Health Ministry - GAZA", who share their experiences of illness, prolonged waiting periods, and the difference timely surgical intervention has made in improving their health and quality of life. The project is implemented by Al Awda Health and Community Association (AWDA), funded by Generalitat Valenciana, through Paz con Dignidad. Through this intervention, the project aims to support vulnerable patients on waiting lists while contributing to easing the burden on overstretched public health services.
