Painting Estonia’s tallest lighthouse was more than a restoration project – it was about preserving a piece of history. Built in 1890 – to replace the original 1724 structure – Pakri Lighthouse sits 80 meters inland and rises 52 meters above the ground. It was recently coated with 700 liters of Sikkens Sil Grund, Nordsjö Murtex Silicate and Sikkens Alphaloxan Farbe, which will ensure long-lasting protection in the harsh coastal environment. The chosen shade was matched as closely as possible to the original color, a soft, warm tone which complements the natural hues of the surrounding limestone cliffs and Baltic Sea landscape.
