This is not a normal local train. This is Mumbai’s AC local. Yes, the one where you pay ₹2205/month just to be packed like a human sandwich. 📍Churchgate to Virar - 60 km of chaos, sweat (despite AC), and somehow still… resilience. But here’s the kicker: this rush is one-way. South Mumbai in the morning, and reverse in the evening. The other direction? Half empty. So what's broken? 🛑 Centralised development. Why is EVERYTHING still happening in South Mumbai or BKC? Why is "office" synonymous with Nariman Point or Lower Parel? We talk about Smart Cities. We talk about New India. But if all jobs are concentrated in one zone, how smart is that? 👊 It's not just about infrastructure upgrades. It’s about urban planning. We need distributed business hubs. We need startups in Borivali. Corporates in Vasai. Tech parks in Dahisar. Let’s decentralise the opportunity, so we can decongest the city. And while we're on the topic - • Half the people in these packed trains don’t even have tickets. Why? Because there’s no space for TCs to enter. • And no metro-style entry gates to stop freeloaders. That’s not just bad for revenue, it’s unfair to those who do pay. If you’re charging a premium, at least give people a reason to feel like they paid for more than just a sweaty arm in their face. Mumbai deserves better. Its people deserve better. And if we’re building the future - let’s build it smarter. #MumbaiLocal #UrbanDevelopment #Decentralisation #PublicTransport #Infrastructure #SmartCities #AamJanta #UrbanMobility #IndiaDeservesBetter
