One of the most rewarding parts of building Gathered & Found has been partnering with ambitious technology businesses and leaders as they scale, evolve and tackle new challenges. Blacklane has been one of those businesses for us and working with Dirk Daumann and Christopher Marchfelder has been nothing but a pleasure for all of us here at G&F HQ. We've had the privilege of supporting the team on their journey - from iOS Architecture to Product Payments implementation, Platform modernisation and of course AI - and it has been fantastic to see their continued growth, innovation and, most recently, their acquisition by Uber. As part of our Signal 2026 AI Report, I recently sat down with Dirk to discuss Blacklane’s journey with AI and how, as a leader and a business, they have successfully implemented AI across their organisation. This has been a great experience, as Blacklane didn’t just want to build random use cases, but fully embed AI and its capability across the entire business. The gains of this project are now in full flight and have fundamentally changed how they operate as a tech business and an SLT.
