Brand Communications Manager at Sprout Social, Inc.

YOU GUYS!!! I had the privilege of interviewing only my favorite thought leader of all time, Jasmine Bina, on social media's impact on culture. Jasmine is a renowned cultural futurist, an expert in deciphering the macro shifts that are affecting the way people think, feel and behave...all the things I'm most passionate about. My background is in evolutionary psychology and relational communication, so when I first discovered Concept Bureau and the ideas Jasmine wrote about, I spent the next 4 hours down a rabbit hole of reading and nodding along to every piece I could find. Her ability to decipher cultural phenomenon, from our collective obsession with the macabre on Halloween to our primal urge for awe and the sublime, and translate it into takeaways for brands is proof of her ultimate rule: the future isn't changed technology—it's changed people. The most critical changes aren't happening in our software, but in our very psychology. It was a true pinch me moment to pick her brain on social intelligence—a topic that is so critical for marketers in knowing how to stay relevant in today's climate. Hopefully the first of many thought-provoking conversations to come. Thank you Jasmine Bina for taking the time to speak with us, and to my partner in crime, Aubree Schaefer, for helping bring this concept to life! Oh and if you aren't already following Social Futures on Substack...now is the perfect time. Brilliant takes, timely POVs, and all things social await. ✨🔮
