Airservices Australia was proud to recently host the 40th Meeting of the Informal South Pacific Air Traffic Services Coordinating Group (ISPACG/40) in Brisbane. Bringing together air navigation service providers, airlines and industry partners from across the region, the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration and advancing air traffic management across the South Pacific. Co-chaired by the US Federal Aviation Administration and Airservices Australia, key discussions explored: • Enhancing operational procedures and efficiency initiatives, including User Preferred Routes • Improving coordination across flight information regions • Addressing safety priorities, such as GPS interference and datalink outages • Adopting emerging technologies to support future operations We also showcased our Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS), highlighting how integrated civil and military operations can enhance efficiency, situational awareness and airspace capacity across the region. Hosting ISPACG/40 reinforces our commitment to safety, innovation and collaboration, and to delivering better outcomes for all airspace users.
