"We thought our parking system was good enough, but we truly didn't know what we didn't know." That's how Bryan Hill, General Manager at The Gateway in Salt Lake City, described the moment his team realized their parking operation was leaving revenue uncaptured while the driver experience underdelivered. The Gateway is a 21-acre lifestyle complex with two hotels, 450 housing units, 650K square feet of retail, six office towers, and thousands of parking spots sitting directly across from the Delta Center, which draws 300+ events a year. On paper, parking was doing its job and collecting revenue. In practice, gates were creating bottlenecks, monthly parkers were paying $60 for finicky key fobs, paper validations were slowing down The Gateway team and their tenants, and event-night drivers were slipping in with retail traffic receiving lower rates. After partnering with AirGarage, The Gateway saw a 14.3% revenue lift in the first six months, alongside a smoother experience for their guests, tenants, and internal team.
