Airbus to design and build European Space Agency - ESA's Aeolus-2 wind sensing satellite 🛰️ The first Aeolus helped improve knowledge of hurricanes and how volcanic ash travels in the high atmosphere. It also improved data availability and accuracy at the poles and the equator, reducing the mean error between predictions and observations by more than 4%. With Aeolus-2, ESA, Airbus and its partners are transforming a pioneering research mission into a permanent Earth Observation service that will benefit citizens globally.
