𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝘆𝗳𝗶𝗻:  Microsoft Fabric’s preview SDK and CLI for building code-first application backends. Announced at Microsoft Build 2026, Rayfin lets developers and coding agents define the backend in code including data models, APIs, identity, access policies, and business logic and deploy it to Microsoft Fabric as a fully managed, governed app with direct access to OneLake. Instead of manually stitching infrastructure, developers and AI agents define their data models in code. Fabric automatically provisions: Managed SQL database Unified GraphQL APIs Fabric SSO (Microsoft Entra ID) Static hosting & storage 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲? Apps run natively inside Fabric, so transactional data lands directly in 𝗢𝗻𝗲𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲. This means zero complex ETL pipelines and immediate data readiness for analytics and AI workloads. ⚠️ 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Fabric Apps is currently in Preview (requires tenant admin enablement) and exclusively supports Fabric SSO for authentication post-deployment.
