Director, ILO Country Office for Ukraine
✍ Today, I had the pleasure of signing a Collaboration Framework between the ILO Country Office for Ukraine and the World Bank in Ukraine. 👉 Due to an air raid alert, we had to sign it in the shelter, but this didn't reduce the importance of this framework which marks an important step in strengthening our partnership as we support Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction and sustainable development. Together, we share a commitment to promoting decent work, social justice, inclusive economic growth and stronger social protection systems that leave no one behind. I am particularly grateful to our colleagues at the World Bank in Ukraine Nithin Umapathi Kevin Tomlinson for their collaboration, shared vision and constructive engagement in developing this framework. By combining our respective expertise, we maximise our support to labour market reforms, strengthen institutions, advance social dialogue, and expand opportunities for women, young people, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, returnees and veterans. 💠 I look forward to deepening our cooperation with the World Bank and working together with the Government of Ukraine, employers’ and workers’ organizations, and our partners to help build a more inclusive, resilient and prosperous future for Ukraine. #UkraineRecovery #DecentWork #SocialJustice #InclusiveGrowth #ILO #WorldBank #SocialProtection #LabourMarketReform
