AIB is officially recognising the Sunflower Lanyard across all 170 branches helping us provide a more accessible and inclusive experience for customers with invisible disabilities or conditions. The Sunflower Lanyard is an internationally recognised symbol that discreetly indicates a person may need extra time, understanding or support. Our colleagues are equipped to recognise the symbol and respond with patience, flexibility, and clear communication while respecting privacy. This initiative builds on our wider work to improve accessibility, including upgraded ATM and Cash and Cheque Lodgement machines with voice guidance support for customers who are visually impaired, and Autism Friendly Accreditation from AsIAm in all branches. We also have language and interpretation services available in all of our branches. Together, these actions reflect our commitment to creating more inclusive, welcoming experiences for customers and colleagues alike – so that everyone can feel understood, supported and confident when banking with AIB.
