Tim Cook stepping down as Apple CEO after 14 years, John Ternus taking over Cook took Apple from a company mourning Steve Jobs to a $4 trillion business with annual revenue more than quadrupled on his watch. He turned Apple Services into a $100 billion annual business and built the wearables category from nothing. Not bad for someone hired as a supply chain fixer. His successor John Ternus is a hardware engineer who has spent almost his entire career at Apple, overseeing iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods, and Apple Watch for over a decade. He has made durability, repairability, and manufacturing innovation a focus and is credited with pushing AirPods into a healthcare product. At 51 he is roughly the same age Cook was when he took the role. Cook stays on as executive chairman. The transition takes effect September 1. The biggest question now is what Ternus does with Apple Intelligence and the AI era. That will define his tenure more than anything else. #Apple #TimCook #JohnTernus #CEO #Tech #AI #TechNews
