🔌 When Europe Commits: Schneider Electric’s Playbook for Egypt’s Green Transition Schneider Electric’s launch of Phase II of its Energy Efficiency Campaign on 29 June 2026 marks far more than an industrial initiative. The campaign’s expansion from factory energy audits to Egypt’s building sector represents a strategic shift towards integrated energy transformation, aligned with Egypt’s Energy Strategy 2040 and supporting the country’s transition under the EU’s T-MED initiative. What distinguishes this approach is its integrated architecture, operating across three interconnected pillars that are critical to Egypt’s energy transition. First, audit-to-implementation: partnerships with Crédit Agricole Egypt and Suez Canal Bank bridge the gap between technical assessments and financed implementation, enabling energy efficiency recommendations to be translated into concrete investments. Second, workforce development: a trilateral partnership with AVEVA and Elsewedy University of Technology is establishing Training Excellence Centres to develop Egypt’s next generation of automation, digitalisation, and clean energy engineers to strengthen local capabilities. Third, rural and industrial integration: through its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Schneider Electric has deployed solar-powered irrigation systems in villages across Menoufia Governorate, improving agricultural productivity while expanding access to clean energy. Benefiting around 20,000 residents, the initiative demonstrates how energy efficiency can simultaneously advance food security, water security, and climate resilience. With €300 million invested, a workforce of 1,500 employees in Egypt, and manufacturing operations in Badr City supplying 14 regional markets, Schneider Electric’s presence reflects a long-term commitment to strengthening Egypt’s industrial ecosystem. As such, the campaign stands as a tangible example of the EU Companies partnership with Egypt delivering shared prosperity, industrial competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
