What happens when you challenge 1,100 students aged 10-15 to replace everyday plastic products with fiber-based alternatives? You get 131 bold, creative, and sustainability‑driven ideas, and a lot of inspiration for the future. ⭐ Together with Framtidsfrön and Paper Province, Ahlstrom hosted the #PlastictoPaper Challenge, where students designed prototypes, connected them to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and created marketing concepts aimed at real customers. The winners presented their work for an Ahlstrom jury at our mills in Jönköping and Billingsfors. The winning classes spent time at the mills, exploring the production sites, meeting our teams, and asking thoughtful questions about careers in the paper industry. A heartfelt thank you to all students, teachers, and colleagues who made this challenge such a success, and warm congratulations to the winners. 💚
