✨Today, we introduce the women at the heart of a movement. For one transformative week in Dakar, 50 women leaders with disabilities from 11 African countries came together with one shared vision: to reimagine what leadership in Africa can look like. 🌍 In every conversation, every workshop, and every connection, a new vision began to take shape, one that is inclusive, bold, and rooted in the continent’s realities. They are entrepreneurs, executives, activists, and elected officials. Their paths may be different, but their conviction is the same. 👉🏾 Leadership is not requested; it is claimed. Together, these women form the driving force behind the AHADI movement and Africa’s inclusive future. Each carries a story of strength, resilience, and determination, stories we are proud to share. “The mental health of women and girls with disabilities is not a luxury, it’s a right. As long as our minds remain exhausted from fighting against silence, inclusion will never be complete.” — Marie Rose KERE, Burkina Faso “I’ve taken part in several elections, but because of my disability, they always make you a substitute. I was discouraged from politics, but what I’ve heard here gives me hope, and concrete strategies to take on municipalities, the Senate, and why not the Presidency.” — Yacine Koné, Senegal “Leadership is not perfection. It’s the courage to show up.” — Elodie HOUSSOU, Benin “I want every woman with a disability to know that she can lead change. It’s possible when you’re in Parliament, in the Senate… I’ve been an MP for 10 years, and I’m already campaigning to become a senator in 2027.” — Hon. Dennitah Ghati, Kenya What began in Dakar was not a seminar, but a quiet revolution of empowerment. The birth of a Pan-African network of women leaders ready to transform the future through their voices, their vision, and their collective power. 👏 Plan International Sénégal Ministère de la Famille et des Solidarités #AHADIAfrica #RISE2025 #InclusiveLeadership #WomenWithDisabilities #Dakar2025 #Impact #Leadership #WomenLeadAfrica #DisabilityInclusion
