In 2019, Chester became the world's first #SustainablePalmOilCity, a title driven by over a decade of campaigning by Chester Zoo. This week, that same zoo hosted the inaugural European edition of the Sustainable Coconut Gathering. And it was exactly the right place to host a room of people serious about getting sustainable supply chains to scale. "Sustainability tools alone do not transform supply chains. It's the people who put them into action that drive change." This insight from our Head of Product, Liz Mounfield, captures what really brought us to the event. The past three years of Sustainable Coconut Partnership's (SCP) work has built a real toolbox: the Sustainable Coconut Charter, the Assurance System, and the SCP Links for sector-aligned reporting. Though the toolbox is built, the challenge that follows is how to scale. This is why our partnership with SCP matters to us. Whether through SCP Links, charter-aligned tooling, or the work still ahead, our role remains the same: to make traceability data practical for genuine procurement and compliance decisions that go beyond simple reporting. We're grateful to have been a part of the event, and to be here to support SCP and its members on their journey toward traceability. #SustainableCoconut #SCPLinks #SCP #Traceability #SupplyChains #sustainableCoconutGathering #chesterzoo #sustainability Gregory Bardies Jonathan Bird
