One of them was the early stress on winter wheat: the crop that becomes the bread, flour, and tortillas we eat every day. This week, the AP reported the outcome: the smallest US wheat crop in 54 years. For investors, this is a reminder that weather is no longer background noise. It's a current-quarter input to commodity prices, farmland values, and the resilience of the operations behind them.
