To graduate with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Data Science and Informatics from the University of Zimbabwe — with First Class Honours and being awaded a Book Prize is a dream come true. The journey was not easy. I started this degree with a 10-day old baby in my arms, and many sleepless nights followed. There were moments I wanted to quit. The reality: lectures with no sleep. Assignments with a baby on my back. Doubt creeping in if i could pull through. The truth: God was with me in every late night. And the dream if being a First Class Graduate kept pulling me forward. To the Almighty God, thank you for strength, grace, and for making this possible. To my family, my supervisors, for the support and UZ for the opportunity. This degree is for every parent, every student, every dreamer who thinks they’re “too late” or “too busy”. Your season will come.
