One of the biggest mistakes in agriculture is falling in love with a technology before understanding the problem. The best innovations don't start with gadgets. They start with biology. What does the animal need? What behavior are we trying to encourage? What stressors are we trying to reduce? What outcomes are we trying to improve? Only then should we ask what technology can help. The most successful farms aren't necessarily the ones with the most technology. They're the ones using technology to solve real problems.
