AGC is proud to be hosting the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel (CALC) Conference 2026 from the 15th to the 17th of July! The Conference will bring together more than 100 delegates from across the Commonwealth for 2.5 days of presentations, panels and discussions around the Conference theme of “Legislating in a Changing World”. Delegates include legislative drafters, judges, government legal advisors, policymakers and academics. The Keynote Address will be delivered by the Minister for Law and the Second Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Edwin Tong SC. The conference programme will include sessions on legislative drafting techniques, statutory interpretation, drafting office management, the ethics of legislative drafting and novel legislative developments.
