Letโs focus today on IR light and its impact on passengers. Infrared light is the one penetrating below the surface, warming skin tissues, calming for instance muscles tensions. One of the concerns when you are inside your car: it heats the seats, the steering wheel, and makes passengers sweat. ๐ฅต Car glazing solutions do exist to reduce IR rays entering the vehicle. โ Theย windshield, at the front of the car, is offered with IR-cut coating, a special silver coating repelling part of the Infra-red rays. โ ย Thin laminated glassย with IR-cut film can be used on front doors, reducing heat penetration. โ For vehicleย rear glazing, you have two options to reduce heat inside the vehicle: - Tempered privacy glass: it acts as a sunshade for rear passengers. - Thin laminated glass with IR-cut film. โ What about theย glass roof? A laminated privacy glass treated with special coatings reduces efficiently heat penetration, enabling sunshade removal.
