Six months ago I got a call: “Can you come to Warsaw to meet Vic Fedeli, Canada’s Minister of Economic Development? He wants to meet the most promising startups.” So I jumped on a plane. That day - cowboy boots, sharp questions, real curiosity and interest in European startup scene - kicked off my work recommending top European startups into a government-backed Canadian program focused on real North American expansion. Fast forward to now: startups I had the privilege to recommend just wrapped up an intense week in Toronto - investor meetings, partner conversations, customer intros, and already some real deals signed.
