"What does it take to design infrastructure that remains safe and reliable over time? For Evelina Almqvist, it starts with understanding the ground conditions. As a field geotechnician, her work rarely takes place in an office. Instead, she spends her days out in the field like so many of our experts at AFRY – often in remote areas and challenging conditions – investigating the ground and providing insights that guide key decisions in projects. Together with colleagues across disciplines, she works across project phases – from early investigations to ensuring the right decisions throughout the projects.
