The 61st African Development Bank Group Annual Meetings concluded in Brazzaville on 29 May, conveying a message of optimism, partnership and transformation for Africa.  Key highlights included the President of the Republic of the Congo’s announcement of visa-free entry for all African travellers from January 2027, renewed commitments to the African Development Fund, and the firm endorsement by governors of the forward-looking vision from Dr Sidi Ould Tah as he marks his first year at the helm of the Bank Group.    Reaffirming the Bank Group’s ambition to be “the solution Bank for the Africa we want,” President Ould Tah emphasised a strong focus on innovation, youth employment and women’s empowerment.
