The significant increase in Ghana’s ASM gold exports from 63.6 tons ($4.6B) in 2024 to 103 tons ($10.8B) in 2025 reflects the impact of policy reform, improved regulatory coordination, and enhanced formalization through GoldBod. The removal of the 1.5% withholding tax and strengthened official export channels have contributed to improved transparency, higher declared volumes, and increased foreign exchange inflows. This milestone underscores the strategic importance of structured ASM governance in driving national revenue growth, investor confidence, and sustainable sector development. We remain committed to advancing responsible mining, compliance, and value optimization within Ghana’s gold industry.
