Reminder: Consultation on our draft determination for the Default Market Offer (DMO) 2026–27 closes on 9 April. Households and small businesses on the DMO could see lower electricity prices next financial year under our draft decision, with proposed reductions across New South Wales, South East Queensland and South Australia. These changes are largely driven by lower wholesale electricity costs and reduced environmental and retail operating costs. The DMO sets an efficiently priced safety-net for customers on standing offer electricity plans and serves as a reference price to help consumers compare market deals. We’re now in the final stages of consultation and want to hear from you, as your feedback, alongside updated market data, will help to inform our final determination. Submissions are open until COB 9 April 2026 and can be sent to [email protected] For more information on the draft DMO 2026-27, visit https://lnkd.in/gEEqgw5d
