Technology should make it easier for medical staff and caregivers to be present. That’s the focus driving Dr. Charlene LePane, Chief Medical Information Officer for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. She’s helping bring clinical care and technology closer together so providers can spend more time with patients, not screens. Her journey started as a volunteer at AdventHealth Orlando and grew through roles as a CNA, nurse and physician. That full-circle experience gives her a deep understanding of what caregivers need to deliver meaningful, connected care. Today, she’s focused on removing the small barriers that add up. By simplifying documentation, improving workflows and designing tools that save time, she’s helping create space for providers to be fully present. Because innovation only matters if it strengthens trust, supports teams and protects the human connection at the center of care — so every person feels seen, heard and cared for. How is technology helping your team stay more connected to the people you serve?
