The 2026 King’s Speech sends a clear message: Cyber resilience is no longer an IT issue, it’s a supply ch ain issue. We’re seeing a shift from:  ➡️ “Do you have controls?” to ➡️ “Can you evidence them, across your suppliers?” Because resilience doesn’t stop at your organisation boundary. It extends to: ▪ Your MSPs ▪ Your data centres ▪ Your critical third parties ▪ Your hidden dependencies And in this new environment: “We thought the supplier had it covered” is not a resilience strategy. What’s changing is simple: ▪ Assurance > assumption ▪ Evidence > policy ▪ Ecosystem thinking > siloed security For organisations in critical services and beyond, the real question is: 👉 Can you prove your supply chain is resilient, not just your own controls?
