🏭 One of Europe's largest super-hybrid power plants has opened in Austria. The site combines more than 100 wind turbines with a photovoltaic installation spanning around 50 hectares. A battery system stores excess electricity and feeds it back into the grid when demand rises, helping to balance daily and seasonal fluctuations. The solar installation follows an agri-photovoltaic model: The land remains in use, with grazing livestock beneath the panels. This avoids sealing the soil and allows agriculture and energy production to coexist. For operator PÜSPÖK Erneuerbare Energie, the project builds on existing experience with wind and solar assets. The hybrid concept adds a new layer of flexibility.
