🏭 Congratulations Centauri Ground Support — and welcome to Putnam County! Today, Advantage Valley and the Putnam Chamber of Commerce were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting at the newly renovated Waterway Industrial Facility in Poca, West Virginia, officially welcoming Centauri Ground Support to the Advantage Valley region. Centauri Ground Support, a new joint venture between Sandvik and Alpha Metallurgical Resources, will establish a manufacturing operation at the facility, producing rock bolts and resin capsules for the North American market. The $25 million investment and creation of up to 150 new jobs are a tremendous win for Putnam County and the Advantage Valley region! This milestone represents years of strategic work by Advantage Valley and our partners to bring an underutilized industrial property back into productive use. With more than $6.5 million in investment supported by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, West Virginia Economic Development Authority, and construction financing from Poca Valley Bank, the Waterway facility is now positioned for high-quality manufacturing growth.
