What does lifelong learning really mean for higher education? Our latest episode of Talking Transformation explores this question with clarity and ambition. In Episode 12, Fiona Lennoxsmith is joined by Professor Harriet Dunbar-Morris PFHEA, NTF and Dr Helen Murphy from South East Technological University in Ireland. Together they examine how institutions can reshape lifelong learning to meet the needs of today’s learners and tomorrow’s society. The conversation challenges assumptions. It asks us to reflect on the language we use. It invites us to rethink how we design learning experiences. Key insights include: • The shift from “learner” to “lifelong scholar” and what it signals about identity, purpose and inclusion • The value of genuine co-creation in curriculum design through structured collaboration with learners, academics, employers and communities • The need for employers to act as active partners throughout the learning journey • A powerful reminder that higher education is about learning to be, not only learning to be productive This episode speaks directly to leaders shaping strategy, culture and practice across higher education. 🎧 Listen now via the link or search “Advance HE” on Spotify, Amazon Music or Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eWdGr3-f #TalkingTransformation #LifelongLearning #HigherEducation #Transformation #AdvanceHE
