**When silence harms: invisible gender-based violence in higher education** In a new blog, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleni Meletiadou, PFHEA, NTF, UTF, MCIPD, MIIE Expert, shares findings from a European project exploring the experiences of *migrant female early career researchers* across Europe. The research reveals how *invisible, unreported forms of gender-based violence* such as subtle exclusion, organisational neglect, precarious contracts and institutional silence continue to undermine wellbeing and career progression. Crucially, it shows that **policies alone are not enough** when power imbalances, visa insecurity and mistrusted reporting mechanisms keep women silent.
