https://lnkd.in/dFUF9hk2 Last night, I was watching a disturbing news story coming out of Nashik. It spoke about a Muslim woman working as a tele-caller in TCS being linked to what the media is calling “corporate” or “white-collar jihad”—labels that seem completely manufactured. I was deeply troubled to learn that the accused, Nida Khan, is reportedly pregnant and facing all of this during such a crucial phase of her life. The insensitivity is shocking. Without even confirming her role or position, an entire narrative has been built—one that seems designed to target educated Muslims, potentially discouraging even women from working. I genuinely fail to understand how a tele-caller could influence anyone in the way being claimed. Yet, this seems to reflect a growing pattern—where narratives are quickly shaped, and when a Muslim identity is involved, suspicion and propaganda take over. Being a professional committed to justice, my heart goes out to the young woman, and I pray for her strength. What concerns me deeply is that this goes beyond misinformation. When narratives repeatedly target a community without verified facts, it becomes a form of invisible violence—one that spreads fear, mistrust, and division. Physical acts of violence are visible; this kind of harm is quieter but still deeply damaging to the social fabric. When media prioritizes sensationalism or aligns too closely with political interests, it risks shaping public perception in ways that can isolate and stigmatize entire communities. Over time, this can normalize prejudice and deepen fractures within society. The judiciary and institutions must take note of how such narratives can impact not just individuals, but the collective harmony of the country. Ye kahan le aaye hain desh ko?☹️💔🇮🇳 Itna khokhlapan.
