International business is all about bringing together people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. In Germany, we’d say: 🇩🇪 "Nicht schlecht." In America, they might say: 🇺🇸 "What an amazing week — great people, valuable conversations, strong partnerships, and unforgettable experiences." Different cultures. Same values. 🇩🇪🤝🇺🇸 That's what I enjoy most about it. During our trip to the U.S., we experienced the entire journey—from Georgia-Pacific's headquarters and R&D lab to manufacturing in Savannah, the Port of Savannah, and finally the products beginning their journey across the Atlantic to Europe. We met people with decades of experience who take genuine pride in what they do. We exchanged ideas with customers, partners, and colleagues from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the UK, Argentina, and the U.S. Baseball, Boiled peanuts & Southern hospitality ⚾️🥜🍑 Until football (soccer) comes up... Then, I’m one of Germany's 80 million Bundestrainers. ⚽🇩🇪 A big thank you to Sika and to all colleagues from Georgia-Pacific Building Products for making this trip so memorable.
