Insightful comment, though I slightly disagree with the first line, I think we crossed that threshold a long time ago, and not just in immunology. I've always been of the opinion that data, especially big data, is simply a primer that sets the scene for a biological discovery. That is the nature of bioinformatics, conclusions are probabilistic at the end of the day, and it is the ability to interpret, generate hypotheses, test them, and build a story through multiple modes of data, that will eventually translate into value.
