Adelaide University’s Institute for International Trade has been making global moves 🌍 The team was on the ground in Nairobi, Kenya, last month leading a dynamic capacity-building program designed to boost Africa’s trade integration and strengthen trade facilitation. Dr Nathan Gray (Ph.D)(GAICD) and Professor Peter Draper led the Australia Awards Africa short course with support from Lydia Jaloshin, which saw international trade officials from across Africa engaged in workshops, collaboration, site visits and networking opportunities. These activities are designed to advance their expertise in implementing World Trade Organization Trade Facilitation Agreements and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The program featured site visits, guest speakers and expert panel discussions, with contributions from Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Kenyan Association of Manufacturing, KenTrade, TradeMark Africa and private sector leaders.
