Democracy Day ..... Having mixed feelings about today. Are we really in a true Democracy? What exactly does this word mean here to those at the helm of affairs and the citizens? Reflecting on several things about where Nigeria is as a country, her beautiful, resilient, culturally diverse industrious people, lovely places, all the ills that assail us and our heroes past. I will keep doing my little bit within my place of influence. It does get tiring and frustrating and several times, one just wants to throw in the towel. But, I guess one has to keep on if one has the capacity. Proudly Yoruba and Nigerian 🇳🇬. I don't have another country to call mine. Always a fan of the beautiful Indigo textile handmade in Abeokuta, Oshogbo and Kano 🥰! If in Nigeria, enjoy your public holiday! 📸 &💄by Lara in 2016 *I don't own rights to the music Ojude Oba Ijebu by Olu Daniels * #ProudlyIjebu #ProudlyYoruba #ProudlyNigerian #WearingMyCulturalHeritageWithPride #ForTheCulture #DemocracyDay #IndigoTextiles
