For more than a hundred years, the disease has been known to us, and despite our efforts, it is still endemic in Nigeria and almost all other African countries. It is time for us to deploy all relevant modern resources and leverage all available expertise to halt the disease (FMD) progression in Nigeria and, by extension, throughout Africa. It was a great honour sharing the podium with eminent veterinary scientists today - Junaidu Maina, Baptiste DUNGU, Ularamu Hussaini, Muhammad-Bashir Bolajoko, Wayuta Mshelia and ADENIYI ADEDOYIN A sincere appreciation to Andy Peters of Arpexas for the support and sponsorship.
