"Today, we celebrate innovation. But tomorrow, let's all find the courage to share it. Because that is how we change the world." — Jürgen Reinhard Last night, AdAstra co-founder and innovator-in-chief Jürgen Reinhard, PhD, found himself on stage at the Commodities Innovation Awards in Geneva, accepting the special jury prize for our work on Orbae. Arriving at this honor was a team effort, no doubt. But it was a particularly special moment to see Jürgen being handed this award. The reason Orbae is able to exist at all is because Jürgen has dedicated years of thinking, research and iteration to its development. And that’s no exaggeration — at its foundation is his hard-earned doctorate in information systems from the University of Zurich, plus years of hands-on experience in the world of sustainability consulting. So thank you to Bilan Magazine, Ampersand World SA and, of course, the entire jury for seeing the power and potential in Orbae’s technology. And thank you, Jürgen, for leading the way. Orbae is the first technology to make the impacts of land conversion visible in agricultural supply chains at 30 m resolution — and it’s available as open data.
