Observations: * Robotics will be the most important industry on earth in ten years. * Flying robots are the first category of real world robots to become a real business - substantial scale, real world impact, positive margins, etc. * Skydio stands alone as having bet on flying robots rather than just drones in the way we built our tech stack - sensing, compute, and software architecture - to unlock scaled, fully autonomous operation. * As fully autonomous, docked drones become the dominant operating paradigm, we are in a hard-earned perfect position at exactly the right moment, and will go from a $MMM business to $B business over the next few years. * This is the most fun stuff in the world to work on. Lots of roles are open, special focus on: * Electrical engineering - creating the guts of our robots spanning edge compute, cameras and high speed data, wireless, power electronics, and more. Work with Andrew Dai, Mark Kraz, Jack Ye, Abraham Bachrach and other awesome folks. * Embedded software - backbone of our SW system to make everything above work and talk. Work with Ross Yeager (backbone (and biceps) of our engineering team), Prithvi Thomas, and many more - incredible team all around. * AI and autonomy - the brain of our system. We have a world leading autonomy system thanks to a world-class team, and we're moving faster than ever as we build on fleet data from millions of customer flights (carefully managed and opt-in to protect our customers' privacy and data rights) with a vertically integrated HW/SW/cloud tech stack that we control end to end. Work with Juraj Kabzan, Kalpana Seshadrinathan, Peter Henry, Davide Falanga, and many more.
