Look Closely. Listen Well. Heal Wisely.
Living in Arkansas has a way of changing how you look at problems. Around here, people don’t start with the answer. They start by understanding what they’re working with. A mechanic doesn’t diagnose an engine from a spreadsheet. A farmer doesn’t plant based on what worked three states away. They pay attention to what’s in front of them because they know context matters. I think we’ve lost some of that in healthcare. Too many self-funded health plans are built around national averages, benchmark reports, and one-size-fits-all recommendations. Those tools have value, but they don’t know your community. They don’t know which physicians consistently deliver excellent care. They don’t know where patients wait months to see a specialist, where primary care access is limited, or where employers quietly lose productivity because employees can’t navigate the healthcare system. They don’t see the relationships, referral patterns, or local challenges that never appear in a claims report. That’s why Dr. Justin Voris and I created the OneStone Physician Advisory Group. We believe employers deserve more than another consultant or another vendor. They deserve the perspective of practicing physicians who understand both medicine and the business of healthcare. Our role isn’t to replace your broker or benefits consultant. It’s to complement them by bringing independent clinical insight into the decisions that shape your health plan. We help employers understand the healthcare ecosystem their employees actually use—provider access, referral patterns, community resources, and the realities that influence both cost and outcomes. Claims tell you what happened. Communities help explain why. The best health plans I’ve seen aren’t necessarily the biggest or the most expensive. They’re the ones built by leaders who take the time to understand the people they’re serving before making decisions that affect their care. As practicing physicians, Dr. Justin Voris and I believe healthcare works best when local clinical insight has a seat at the table. That’s the purpose of the OneStone Physician Advisory Group.
