Airport Commercial Experience Strategist
Passenger numbers are back. Commercial performance is not. Why is that? Airport commercial performance is often framed as a retail challenge. In reality, it is much broader. Commercial outcomes are shaped by the interaction of three factors: 🛍️ The strength of the commercial proposition 🚶 The quality of passenger flow and processing ✈️ The traffic mix and passenger profile Airports do not automatically convert passenger volumes into commercial value. A strong retail offer cannot fully offset poor passenger flow, long queues or an unfavourable passenger mix. Equally, efficient operations without the right commercial proposition leave value untapped. That is why commercial performance rarely sits with a single function. It emerges at the intersection of commercial, operations, security, airlines and broader market dynamics. So, what is the single biggest strategic driver of airport commercial performance today? Vote in the poll - if your answer is Other, I would appreciate your perspective in the comments. I am especially interested in the drivers that are often overlooked 👇 NACO, Netherlands Airport Consultants | Marije Teerling (PhD) | Tom Mockett | Peter Rieff | Maarten Caspers | Alexandra Johansson | Britney Waasdorp | Marcela Montalvão | Xiaodong Luo | Eleanor Utama | Clint Nous | Sankalp Borthakur | Joeri Aulman | Dominique Heusdens | Jan Willem van Aardenne | Rene Marey
