Helping students prepare for university never fails to be an exciting experience. On Friday, I officially stepped into my role as a Warwick Scholars Mentor. After previously serving as an ambassador and welfare representative during the launch residential, it was inspiring to now meet my 8 mentees who I’ll be supporting over the coming months via the Brightside platform. My role will be to answer their questions, guide them through challenges, and help set them up for a future of success in higher education. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey and contribute to the wider Warwick Scholars community. The event, brilliantly run by Cherryl Jones and Eleanor Hinds included an overview of the scheme, a fun quiz, and some great icebreakers to get us all connected. I’m looking forward to seeing how my mentees grow and thrive, and learning from eachother each step of the way.
