What keeps a growing economy running? Reliable power at scale. #Acwa and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) have signed a Contract of Lease for a 500-hectare site in New Clark City, supporting the development of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (PV-BESS). Designed to provide clean, reliable power for data centers, advanced manufacturing, and other energy-intensive industries, the project will help create the energy foundation needed to support the city’s next phase of growth. With a planned capacity of up to 500 MW, the development supports New Clark City’s ambition to become a green, smart, and resilient urban center, while contributing to the Philippines’ target of increasing renewable energy's share of the national power mix to 35% by 2030.
