Happy to share our recent research article published in ASM journal-Antimicrobial agents and Chemotherapy. Our study presents Ginsenoside Rg1 as a promising phytochemical that selectively targets the Plasmodium falciparum hexose transporter and disrupts parasite glucose metabolism, supporting the potential of phytochemicals as viable scaffolds for future antimalarial drug discovery, particularly in the face of growing resistance to existing therapies. This work reflects a collaborative effort during my PhD, and I am sincerely grateful to my mentors and co-authors for their support throughout this research.
