Ambassador Luc Briard and I visited the impressive construction site of the large SONOCO mill🌾🏭 at the port of Freetown on July 16. This big investment in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 by the #groupeSONOCO from Guinea 🇬🇳 in partnership with the French company 🇫🇷 #EUROGRAIN, supported by #PROPARCO (#AFD) and #BPI, will produce 600 tons of flour per day this Fall, ensuring 100% of the country's flour needs 🥖 and allowing for the export 🔜 of 40% of production to neighboring countries. The project represents a significant development in Sierra Leone's agri-food infrastructure.
