Today (July 17, 2026) marks 12 years since the tragedy of Malaysia Airlines Flight ✈️ MH17, which was travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. All 298 people on board, including 80 children, lost their lives when the passenger aircraft was struck by a Russian-controlled BUK missile system over Ukraine's Donbas region, then under the control of Russian-backed proxy forces.
