A tanka written in 1945 by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Hideki Yukawa. It imagines an Earth after humanity has vanished through nuclear war, leaving only endless night and silence. I interpreted this poem in calligraphy using handmade washi paper and the Wanpou technique, where white brushstrokes emerge from a field of ink.
