I genuinely thought those stories about walking into Hermès with a personalized bag and suddenly becoming “invisible” were just urban legends. 😅 Until my last visit to the Faubourg Saint-Honoré boutique this April (8) @michaelcostefr 😌🤫 I’d been walking all day and my ballet flats had completely destroyed my feet, so I decided it was time to buy a pair of sneakers. 😄 On the second floor, where the shoes are displayed, three sales associates immediately noticed both me and my bag. One of them smiled and said, “Wow… what a beautiful bag! I love it.” I thanked him and replied, “It’s part of my work, so it means a lot that you noticed.” He walked away, whispered something to two colleagues, came back and said, “Please give us a couple of minutes, someone will be with you shortly.” No problem at all. I happily wandered around, admiring the boutique, the craftsmanship, and the new collections. Twenty minutes later, I walked back to the two sales associates and politely asked whether someone could help me, as perhaps their colleague had become busy… or simply forgotten about me. 😌😅 They exchanged a quick glance, and one of them smiled: “Yes, of course. I’ll help you.” And then… almost like magic. ✨ Out of every single pair I asked to try—around seven different styles—not one was available in my size. 😄 And I do want to acknowledge their professionalism throughout the interaction. 👏 At the same time, I have to admit I was just a tiny bit disappointed 🤏 to discover that all those stories I’d heard might not have been myths after all. Hopefully, one day that changes. 💫🙏🏼 Maybe it was just a coincidence. Maybe not. Either way, I left smiling. 🤍 #Hermes #FaubourgSaintHonoré #Paris #MichaelCoste #lifestory #France
